The text Plane Trigonometry, written by British mathematician S. L. Loney, is intended for use in schools and in past and junior honors classes at universities. As much as possible, the author strives to present the learner with a clear explanation of complex quantities in the book's upper section. The author has also prefixed the book with a list of the principal formulas that should be memorized by students through this book.

The book by SL LONEY of Trigonometry chosen by me for solutions, is full of basic Sums required for class VI to Junior college students. Accordingly, the present book on Solutions of Sums from Trigonometry /named ―Plane Trigonometry Part 1‖ by SLL on y was attempted. I draw my pleasure with high hopes that my book will be liked by students. My appeal therefore to such students to get my book as guidance always, which will be a path for success to them. Best of wishes to all students

Excerpt from Plane Trigonometry As Trigonometry consists largely of formula and the applications thereof, I have prefixed (on pages x to xvi) a list of the principal formula which the student Should commit to memory. These more important formula are distinguished in the text by the use of thick type. Other formula are subsidiary and of less importance. Highly Recommended for IIT JEE and Olympiads 1000+ Problems with Solutions and 100+ Articles This book collects together the problems set out at end of each chapter in the author's Textbook of Plane Trigonometry along with the possible solutions, which are linked with an explanation of the sort of reasoning used in order to arrive at one of the answers. In many cases, several answers are given for one question. The result is a book which can be used independently of the main volume. This book helps in acquiring a better understanding of the basic principles of Plane Trigonometry and in revising a large amount of the subject matter quickly. It is also to be noticed, that each Example, or Problem is here enunciated at the head of its Solution as well as all the relevant articles are part of the appendix; so that the book, though a fitting Companion to the textbook, is not inseparable from it, but may be used, as a Book of Exercises, with any other treatise on Plane Trigonometry. We are grateful for this opportunity to put the materials into a consistent format, and to correct errors in the original publication that have come to our attention. We are highly indebted to Chandra Shekhar Kumar for the fruitful discussions which led to the idea of masterminding this entire project. He helped us put hundreds of pages of typographically difficult material into a consistent digital format. The process of compiling this book has given us an incentive to improve the layout, to double-check almost all of the mathematical rendering, to correct all known errors, to improve the original illustrations by redrawing them with Till Tantau's marvelous TikZ. Thus the book now appears in a form that we hope will remain useful for at least another generation.

Solutions Manual for S. L. Loney's Plane Trigonometry (Part One) This book is a solutions manual to accompany the textbook of Plane Trigonometry Part One by S. L. Loney. Detailed solutions to all the problems and exercises are provided. Written in a problem-solution format, this acts as an independent study guide to plane trigonometry. These solutions strengthen and enliven the inherent multi-concepts to enrich the heritage set forth by S. L. Loney. The present work will serve as a complete guide to private students reading the subject with few or no opportunities of instruction. This will save the time and lighten the work of Teachers as well. This book helps in acquiring a better understanding of the basic principles of Plane Trigonometry and in revising a large amount of the subject matter quickly. Care has been taken, as in the forthcoming ones, to present the solutions with multi-concepts and beyond in a simple natural manner, in order to meet the difficulties which are most likely to arise, and to render the work intelligible and instructive.
